I had a total hip revision by Dr. Talmo 6 weeks ago. Since I was only having minimal pain pre-operatively, I was hesitant to undergo such a large procedure. However, after meeting Dr. Talmo in consultation 2 months ago, he carefully explained why surgery now would be indicated. He was professional, compassionate, kind, did not hurry me with all my questions and very reassuring both then, the day of surgery and post-operatively. I have had many orthopedic procedures, including shoulder, knee & previous hip surgeries. Dr. Talmo is the best, hands down. I am very grateful for his expertise on so many levels. His NP Kimberly Chin, who I saw yesterday for my post-op visit was equally professional, knowledgable and helpful. His office manager, Tara, was also patient, kind and helpful with my phone calls and concerns. NP Kimberly discussed that I may need a knee replacement in the future, and if so, I would definitely have Dr. Talmo do the surgery. Everyone at New England Baptist was exceptional from anesthesia, to nurses, to yes! even the food. A very positive experience overall. The attention to detail for rehab (exercise recommendations, etc) has made my recovery so much easier. Thank you Dr. Talmo & staff!
